The fourth event on the Foster’s ASP Men’s World Tour has had a dream run over the past three days with surfers scoring mind blowing barrels at the famed break known as Cloudbreak.

With only one day needed in order to finish the event swell forecasters at www.surfline.com have indicated that the event would be best to wait for a new swell forecast for late this upcoming weekend.
The round four heat draw is loaded up with some exciting match-ups including heats four and five which will see top seeds Andy Irons (HAW) and rookie Bobby Martinez (USA) take on pocket rocket Trent Munro (AUS) and the technically brilliant Danny Wills (AUS) respectively.

Former three-time Foster’s ASP Men’s World Tour champion Irons, particularly indicated he was wary of taking on Munro at Cloudbreak as he knows the Australian is fully capable of loading up some big backside turns.

"Being one of the top seeds you come up against wildcards who are unknown so now I’m going to come up against Trent and I know a bit more about him," said Irons. "If it’s about three to four feet here that’s when he’s at his most dangerous. He’s so solid on his backhand. He’s won in the Maldives in similar conditions so I’ll have to be on my toes. I’m hoping there’s some bigger barrels for that heat."

Wills meanwhile is hoping he has Martinez’s measure when he tackles him in heat five of round four.

While rookie Martinez has been a bolter on this year’s tour, having won in pristine left hand barrelling waves at Teahupoo in event number three less than two weeks ago, Wills stated he won’t be letting the Californian youngster have an easy heat by any means.

"I have Bobby coming up next and if it gets big and hollow then I’m going to have my work cut out for me," said Wills. "But I’ll just stick to what I’m doing and gradually I’m getting better and better in the tube on my backhand so I feel really confident. Bobby has been doing really well but I’m going to stick it to him."
