Organisers of the Rip Curl Pro Search WCT have arrived to the secret location “somewhere in Mexico” known only as La Jolla, to absolutely amazing two metre (six to eight feet) plus righthand breaking waves.

With that in mind round one of the fifth Foster’s ASP Men’s World Tour event will kick off from 8am.

With flawless freight training barrels on offer, all on hand to witness the action live and live via the webcast, can expect an amazing show from pro surfing’s elite.

In warm up sessions held early this morning, tube rides of up to eight seconds long have been observed as all the sport’s big names have been scrambling into as many waves as they can inorder to familiarise themselves with the wave.

Rip Curl have a floating licence for this event, and in line with the spirit of their coveted Search program, the crew are able to lift the show each year and venture into new and unsurfed breaks.

Given that the remainder of surfing’s top tour is held at exotic locations with only the best waves on offer, this Mexican jaunt has added more spice to the already potently exciting mix known as “the dream tour”.

Log on to www.ripcurl.com/searchwct or www.aspworldtour.com now for all the live webcast action.
