BELLS BEACH, Victoria/AUS (Tuesday, April 2, 2013) – The final day of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by Ford has been called ON this morning, commencing at 7:45am in clean three-to-four-foot (1 metre) waves at Bells Beach.

The second stop on the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour (WCT), the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach has whittled the original 36-man field down to the final eight surfers and will have the bell rung by day’s end.

“Clean waves are still coming through the Bells Bowl this morning and with favorable tides and winds, we’ve called the final day of competition on this morning starting at 7:45am,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “Good luck to our eight remaining competitors.”

Up first this morning will be Kai Otton (AUS), 33, against Taj Burrow (AUS), 35, in the opening Quarterfinal bout.
