SEIGNOSSE Le Penon, France (Saturday, September 28, 2013) – Insufficient swell forced organizers to call competition OFF on the third day of the Quiksilver Pro France.

Event No.8 of 10 on the 2013 ASP World Championship Tour, the Quiksilver Pro France completed the first two rounds of competition in excellent waves at the back-up venue of Le Penon in Seignosse and will recommence when conditions improve.

“Yesterday we were fortunate to finish the second round on the last pulses of the previous swell,” Richie Porta, International head judge stated. “As predicted, today the swell has died and we had to call competition off. We’re looking at a new push next week and we’ll monitor conditions to decide when the competition can re-start.”

The next call will be held at 9am tomorrow morning to re-assess conditions in Hossegor/Seignosse.

When competition resumes, up first will be Taj Burrow (AUS) against Alejo Muniz (BRA).

The Quiksilver Pro France is scheduled from September 26 – October 6 and will be webcast LIVE via http://quiksilverlive.com/profrance/2013
