The Australian QS leg has now been completed with the Hurley Australian Open at Manly and the Surfest events at Newcastle.

Congratulations to Carissa Moore and Adriano de Souza on their wins at Manly and Matt Banting and Malia Manuel at Newcastle.

Andriano, after only three QS events has amassed 6,564 points so is well on his way to securing a spot for the WCT in 2015, not that he may need it as you would expect a very solid showing from the Brazilian on the WCT and the same with Carissa, currently sitting in third spot on 3,500 points.

Matt Banting, after his win in the Burton Toyota Pro over Nathan Hedge, has moved into second spot with 3,729 points closely followed by Nathan in third on 3,470 points.

Current rankings after Hurley Australian Open and Burton Toyota Pro ASP 6 Stars have the Top 10 men as:

In the women’s 6 Star events the Hawaiians dominated with Carissa Moore defeating Alessa Quizon at Manly and then Malia Manuel defeating Alessa in her second finals appearance in a row at the Hunter Ports Authority Pro at Newcastle.

Malia, with her win at Newcastle and a third at Manly, is top of the ranks on 5,580 closely followed by Alessa on 5,280 points.

3 – Carissa Moore (HAW) 3500 4
4 – Nage Melemed (HAW) 3120 5
5 – Maud Le Car (FRA) 3000 6

Note: The 2015 Samsung Galaxy ASP World Championship Tours will be comprised of the Top 10 on the Men’s ASP Qualification Series (QS) and Top six on the Women’s ASP QS.
