Torq ACT Chopper SurfboardCRUISE WITH POWER AND STYLEThe Chopper is a versatile shape its a cruisey ride when the conditions suit, but give it a big open face and it'll fire on all cylinders.We've updated the shape with more forward volume for a more flowy, forward trim style of surfing from the front half of the board but with slightly more flip in the tail rocker for tighter turns and aggressive surfing. This is a very user friendly board that suits small wave days and pumping days as well.With a 21 fin set-up it can be ridden as anything from glidey single fin, 21 or thruster.ConstructionUsually you can have strength, light weight or a good price. In ACT, you can have all three.ACT boards have a super strong 2 x 4oz Bamboo reinforcement on the deck and a 6oz 4oz lay-up on the bottom, but they weigh around the same as a light glassed PU board.Most importantly; they respond better. The feel of these boards is like no other surfboard - they are incredibly responsive. The unhindered flex and zero dead weight means all of the energy that you put through your feet is delivered into the turn with none of the deadening effect from the resin.Torq ACT surfboards are the world's first EPS/Epoxy Pre-Preg surfboards. The technological advantages are immense, but the most significant advantage is 100% controlled process with ZERO surplus resin.On any surfboard the resins function is to hold the fiber in place. It offers little structural integrity of its own, little flex and little impact strength. As a material without the fiber it is heavy and brittle.
