Micah Byrnes Picks Up Board Sponsor Stamps Surfboards

Micah Byrne is a Nobel Piece Prize and Grammy winning professional surfer who resides in Huntington Beach, CA. Okay, so most of that is a lie, but in the past 11 years of his professional surfing career he has chalked up some impressive wins. In 2008 he won the VANS Pier Classic 2 and the Macy’s Trifecta and in 2010 he went on to win the SurfRide Series and was runner up at the Vans Pier Classic 2. He started off the new year by finishing a solid third at the Katin Pro/Am in Huntington Beach. Besides that, he is also an announcer, judge, coach, father, and beach marshal. I’m pretty sure that as a beach marshal he gets to carry a gun so if he hoots you off, let him go.

So far 2011 is looking great, he officially picked up Stamps Surfboards as his board sponsor after working closely with Tim Stamps for the past couple of years. It was a natural transition and a great fit. Since Stamps is local, they are able to work closely on new models as well as dial in Micah’s boards for conditions both locally and internationally. Together, they have been working closely and fine tuning some of Stamps’ most popular models like the “Wonton”, “Integer”, and the most recent “V12.”

You can find Micah at the pier most mornings so say hi and check out the latest boards he’s riding or cruise by the Stamps Surfboard Factory and take a look around. You can even grab a board and give it a test ride for free. For those of you who’s social skills have been crippled by the internet don’t fear, log on to www.SurfboardsByStamps.com, where you can find all kind of futuristic stuff.

We’re happy to have Micah aboard and even though he has won a Nobel Piece Prize and a Grammy he’s still a super cool fella. Part of that is a lie too. Stamps Surfboards - Surfboards By Tim Stamps
