KERAMAS, Bali/Indonesia (Tuesday, October 16, 2012) – The Quarterfinals have been called on at the 2012 Oakley ASP World Junior Championships Bali, with the first heat starting at 8:30am. The wind has picked up, but there’s still some punchy 2 to 3 foot (1 – 1.5 meter) waves rolling in.

“The surfers are really keen to go,” said Contest Director Beau Emerton. “They’ve been free surfing for the past hour and there has been some pretty impressive airs. We’re not sure if we will be crowning a champion today, we will keep monitoring conditions and see how it goes.”

The Oakley ASP World Junior Championships Bali will run from October 6 – 17. For LIVE webcast, Heats on Demand, event videos and more check www.oakleyprojunior.com.
