TARANAKI, New Plymouth/NZL (Saturday, April 6, 2013) – The final day of the TSB Bank NZ Surf Festival presenting the Dow AgroSciences Pro has been called on this morning in clean two-to-three foot (1 metre) surf at Taranaki’s Fitzroy Beach.

The fourth stop on the 2013 ASP Women’s World Championship Tour (WCT), the TSB Bank NZ Surf Festival continues this season’s hunt for the prestigious world surfing crown and will determine an event winner by midday.

“Clean surf on offer for the girls this morning and we’ll commence the Semifinals at 8:15am,” Jessi Miley-Dyer, ASP Women’s Tour Manager, said. “We have four girls remaining and the results of this event will shake up the race for the 2013 ASP Women’s World Title. Good luck to all our remaining competitors today.”

Up first this morning will be reigning five-time ASP Women’s World Champion Stephanie Gilmore (AUS), 25, up against Courtney Conlogue (USA), 20, in Semifinal 1.

The TSB Bank NZ Surf Festival featuring the Dow AgroSciences Pro holds a waiting period from April 3 – 7 and is webcast LIVE via http://www.nzsurffestival.co.nz/
