BARRA DA TIJUCA, Rio De Janeiro/Brazil (Sunday, May 12, 2013) - A lay day has been called for the Billabong Rio Pro, with only small one-to-two foot (0.5 metre) waves on offer at the Brazilian beachbreak of Barra Da Tijuca.

“We’ve only got small surf on offer this morning and have decided to call competition off for the day,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “It looks like we’ll have similar conditions over the next few days, but we’re looking at a promising swell expected to arrive later this week.
