SNAPPER ROCKS, Queensland/Australia (Sunday, March 10, 2013) -The Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover has been placed on hold this morning until 9am.

Event No. 1 of 10 on the 2014 ASP World Championship Tour (WCT), the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast completed the opening four Round 2 heats in punchy two-to-three foot (1 metre) waves at Snapper Rocks yesterday afternoon and will look to potentially complete the remainder of the round today when conditions improve.

“Clean conditions and still some good waves on offer this morning,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, said. “The tide is a little high this morning so we’ve placed competition on hold while it sorts itself out. Next call at 9am.”

When competition resumes, up first will be Owen Wright (AUS), 23, up against Dusty Payne (HAW), 24, in Heat 5 of Round 2.
